Offline or slow connection
When you see the error “offline or slow connection, editing is disabled” it means that Framer has trouble reaching our server or the connection to it is too slow.
When this happens, the app can’t guarantee that changes will be saved in a timely manner. The app will disable editing to avoid data loss and mistakes while collaborating.
In many cases, the message might show temporarily, for example because the computer was offline, or in sleep mode. Your browser might also temporarily put a tab in a sleep mode when it’s not used for some time.
If the message repeatedly shows, try the following steps until it works:
If you’re using a VPN or Proxy, try disabling it as this might slow down your connection
Disconnect from and then reconnect to your (WiFi) network, to get a fresh connection
Connect to a different network (if available), to see if that performs better
Restart the browser or the Framer app
Restart your computer
Restart your router or access point.
