Issues with Site Search

In this guide, we answer common questions about site search in Framer and provide solutions to potential issues.

Why am i still seeing old results?

Search results are cached for faster performance. Typically, this doesn’t cause issues, but if you see outdated results:

  1. Try searching again in a few minutes to allow the cache to refresh.

  2. If the issue persists, please contact support.

Why are my search results incomplete?

If your site search is missing pages or showing results in an unusual order:

Check the Scope property:

  • Ensure your search component’s Scope property includes the pages you want to appear in results.

Verify your published site is optimized:

  • If optimization fails, Framer generates a basic index that may exclude most content.

  • Fix any optimization errors and republish your site to update the search index.

How can i exclude a specific page from search results?

To remove a page from search results:

  1. Go to Project Settings and select the page you want to exclude.

  2. Disable the "Show page in site search" option.

The page will be ignored during indexing and will no longer appear in site search results.
