How to transfer your site to someone else

With the Project Transfer feature you can transfer a project to someone else. If a custom domain is set, it will remain intact and the site will stay online.

How to transfer a project

1. Open the project you want to transfer

2. Click the Framer logo in the navigation bar

3. Select File → Transfer Project

4. Enter the email address of the person you want to transfer the project to

5. If you don’t want to remain an editor on the project, uncheck the box

6. Click “Transfer”

When the recipient accepts the transfer, any existing subscription will be canceled, and the unused time will be credited to your account.

How to accept a project transfer

1. You’ll receive an email to accept the project transfer

2. Click the link and log in or sign up for Framer

3. Click the “Confirm Transfer” button

4. The project will be added to your account

If the project uses any paid features (such as a custom domain or Localization), you’ll be prompted to subscribe to a plan.
