Adding videos
You can add videos to your website by uploading a local video or embedding them from platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo.
Add a Video
To add a video to your site, click the “Insert” button and navigate to the “Media” section. Then, drag and drop a video component onto the Canvas. You have three options: a native Video component, YouTube, or Vimeo.
Make sure to set a poster, which is a thumbnail for your video. Google and other search engines use the poster to display a preview (thumbnail) in search results and snippets. Ensure the poster has a minimum size of 60 x 30 px. Framer automatically optimizes how videos are loaded, but not the video content itself. Read more.

Vimeo or youtube
To embed YouTube or Vimeo videos:
Provide the video URL, and the video will embed onto the Canvas.
For local videos or hosted MP4s, use the Video component. Customize properties like:
Autoplay
Poster images
Border-radius
Looping
Sizing

Autoplaying video
Modern browsers, like Chrome and Safari, require autoplaying videos to be muted by default. For videos with audio, it’s best to:
Trigger playback after user interaction (e.g., clicking a button).

Accessibility of videos
For videos without an audio track, provide a text description below the video to describe its content. See examples here.
